EFG Hermes Appoints CEO of EFG Hermes KSA
EFG Hermes announces today the appointment of Hossam Yousef Radwan as Chief Executive Officer of EFG Hermes KSA. The appointment comes as EFG Hermes, already the number-one independent broker in Saudi Arabia and a trusted advisor to major Saudi corporations and top investors, looks to further expand and diversify its fast-growing operations in the Kingdom.
Mr. Radwan, a Saudi national with proven global track record, received a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University in Washington DC, and was most recently Head of the Asset Management Division for the Middle East and North Africa at Goldman Sachs, based in London. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1997 after a four-year stint with JP Morgan in both New York and London.
“By bringing a Saudi national with a proven international track record to head our Saudi business, we are literally getting the best of both worlds and sending yet another strong signal about the importance of the Saudi market to EFG Hermes’s business overall,” said Hassan, noting Hossam Radwan’s solid credentials. “In fact, given the growing importance of Saudi Arabia to EFG Hermes, Hossam will be part of the executive management of the Holding Company.”
“Sixty percent of our staff in the Kingdom are Saudi nationals. Together with their colleagues and calling on EFG Hermes’ long-standing relationships in the Kingdom, they help Saudi institutional investors and family offices tap unequalled regional investment opportunities, advise on wealth management, and counsel major listed Saudi corporations,” said Yasser.
“EFG Hermes has a unique opportunity to build a solid platform in Saudi Arabia to deliver its full range of high quality products and services, from investment banking to asset management, from brokerage and research to private equity. It’s a journey that I’m really looking forward to,” said Hossam Radwan.
