The EFG Hermes Egypt Fund, managed by leading regional investment bank EFG Hermes, has been granted an 'AA' rating by Standard & Poor's – the world's foremost provider of independent credit ratings, indices, risk evaluation, investment research, data and valuations – the first Fund in Egypt to receive the distinction. The EFG Hermes Egypt Fund has achieved a 379.9% 3-year-to-date (YTD) return, and has been listed as the number one Fund worldwide for three years running by the International Herald Tribune. 'It is testament to the attention paid to every detail concerning the Fund that it has received this distinction,' says Maha Baligh, Head of Asset Management for EFG Hermes in Egypt. 'The consistent success of the Fund has inspired a great deal of confidence in it, and it will only continue to grow.' The Fund, open-ended with an objective of capital appreciation and periodic income distribution, has been atop the rankings since 2005, when it saw a one year return of 169.2%.
