EFG Hermes Management Meet Clients to Discuss Investment Strategy, New Products and Services
About 1,000 clients of EFG Hermes Securities Brokerage, the largest brokerage house in the Arab world, gathered in Cairo on Monday, 25 October 2010, for the firm’s first investor event specifically tailored to the needs of individual clients. “Our clients interact with us every day through our dedicated call centre and our 11 retail branches across the nation. We come together through EFG Hermes Online — our multi-market online trading platform — through Market Beat and through our mobile trading application. But sometimes, there’s no substitute for a face-to-face talk in a low-pressure, non-commercial setting,” said Sherif Cararah, EFG Hermes Securities Brokerage Managing Director. Referring to the importance of the event, Cararah said, “We are keen to get closer to our online and call centre clients through such events, as we don’t often have the opportunity to meet with them personally. These events also raise awareness among our clients with regards to the investment climate and how their personal wealth is managed.” The firm’s investor event gave clients a chance to interact directly with senior members of the EFG Hermes team, including Cararah, the heads of the firm’s Research Division and Technical Analysis Department, and the head of Online Trading. “Our online and mobile trading platforms are unrivalled, in large part because of our continuous efforts to provide clients with ever-simpler and faster ways to trade and chart,” said Head of Online Trading Mamdouh Al-Baz. “We put a heavy emphasis on updating existing systems, even as we develop new functionality.” EFG Hermes Research is a bilingual product offering, actively covering 114 stocks in nine countries. “We cover more than 50% of the aggregate market capitalization of the Arab world and we continuously strive to offer investors top-ranked fundamental research,” said Wael Ziada, Head of Research at EFG Hermes. At the gathering, clients were given the chance to collect copies of leading EFG Hermes Research products. “We have a number of products specifically designed to give individual clients with a technical bent the data they need to shape their short-term trading strategies,” said Mohamed Al-Aasar, Head of the Technical Analysis Department.
