EFG Hermes One-on-One Conference concludes in Sharm El-Sheikh
With a goal of attracting foreign investment into publicly listed companies in the Middle East and North Africa, leading regional investment bank EFG Hermes concluded its Fifth Annual One-on-One Conference in Sharm El-Sheikh this past week. Providing an opportunity for investors, business and political leaders to come together in one location to share expertise and advice candidly, the annual Conference has consistently attracted major investors from around the globe, with this year being no exception: At this year's Conference, over 200 investors from the United States, Europe and the Middle East, had one-to-one access to corporate heads and decision makers from leading regional companies with a total market capitalization in excess of $164 billion. Companies from Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE featured representatives from sectors including banking; construction and real estate; financial services; industry; services and telecom. Keynote speakers at this year's Conference included Head of the Policies Secretariat Gamal Mubarak, Egypt's Minister of Investment Mahmoud Mohieddin and Minister of Economy and Planning, UAE, Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi.
