EFG Hermes Wins Three Awards
EFG Hermes is pleased to announce that it has won three awards at the Global Investor Middle East 2010 awards. The firm was named Best Broker-Egypt, Best Broker-Kuwait and Asset Manager of the Year at the ceremony.
For the first half of 2010, EFG Hermes Securities Brokerage controlled a 24.1% market share in Oman, 12.7% in Qatar, and 13.5% in Bahrain. In the UAE, EFG Hermes Securities Brokerage maintained its #1 position on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and the Abu Dhabi Exchange (ADX) combined. On the ADX, the firm was top-ranked with a market share of 19.4% of the total value of trading for the first half of 2010. On the DFM, meanwhile, the firm was ranked second with a market share of 11.2% of the total value of trading for the first half of 2010. On Nasdaq Dubai, EFG Hermes was ranked in fourth place with a 9% market share in the first quarter and 10.75% in the second quarter.
The awards ceremony, which was part of a larger summit entitled “The Future of the Capital Markets in the Middle East”, took place at Medinat Jumeirah in Dubai on 10 November 2010. EFG Hermes was the only firm to win three separate awards.
